YCN Fedrigoni Alice in Wonderlands tea party.

The YCN briefs are out again for this year so i thought i would take this opportunity to show you what i submitted last year. My outcome was a paper tea party based on the mad hatters tea party from alice in wonderland. The idea was that people would recieve a blank cake box slice invitation that they had to decorate and bring along with them. This would help show off their own creativity as well as the diversity of the paper Fedrigoni produce.

Print experimentation

Some print experimentation from earlier this year. Papercut repeat patterns that were then printed over with to create interesting effect. These would look lovely as screenprints, something i hope to develop in the future.

type

An older piece of my work. Experiment typography project completed october 2009. This project focused on creating large lettering in an experiment type which were then photographed in a variety of urban locations. The typeface was created from triangles to promote a type event in which 3 speakers were the focus of the event. The typeface relates to the 3 speakers and the bold lettering creates interest to the event. Below is the experimentation and final outcome of the project.

3D paper work. The genius of paper.

This 3D paperwork was inspired by science and the universe. Three dimensional paper spheres and cut outs were created from all white paper. They were then photographed and the imagery used on a poster to promote the genius of paper.

Berlin papercut

A trip to the city of Berlin inspired this papercut design. The design features imagery i felt showed my experience of the city.

Tea Packaging

The range features 3 cut through designs for different varieties of tea packaging and could easily be extended for more varieties.

Closure Book

Closure was an exhibition held last summer at artworks mk gallery and afterwards at Northampton university. Luckily my book was accepted into the exhibition. The book features hand drawn and cut paper butterflies on wire escaping from the book. I also crocheted paper chains which were attached to wire which also 'escaped' from the book.
